Alexey Adonin — Biography & CV
Born in 1973 in Slutsk, Belarus
Lives and works in Jerusalem, Israel
Alexey Adonin is an abstract-surrealist painter working primarily in oil on canvas. He studied painting and graphic arts at Glebov Art College in Minsk from 1989 to 1993. Through spontaneous brushwork, layered organic forms, and a gradual process of refinement, he creates luminous, dreamlike environments that explore perception, memory, and the shifting boundary between inner experience and external reality.
Recent projects include Improvised, a solo exhibition at the Jerusalem House of Quality (2025), and a residency and group exhibition at Art Park Rhodes (2025). In 2026, his work appeared on the cover of 3Elements Review and in Rappahannock Review. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections worldwide.
