Created in the early 2000s, this drawing is one of several works that marked my return to artistic practice after a long pause. It stands as a response to an oppressive religious environment, whose rigid way of life provoked in me a strong sense of rejection. The interwoven human and mechanical forms express my struggle for inner freedom and the need to remain independent in spirit and thought.
