Volcano’s Gate
2012, Oil on canvas,
mounted on a wooden stretcher frame —
100 x 80 cm / 39.4 x 31.5 in.
While painting Volcano’s Gate, I felt the restless heartbeat of the Earth itself. Night drapes the landscape, a minimalistic cloak over molten rivers and shifting tectonic plates. The open gate calls me into a world of fire and ash, a mystical realm where the planet’s fury and beauty intertwine. Here, I wander between magma and shadow, tracing the pulse of a troubled, yet alive, Earth.
