Abandoned Harbor (SOLD)
2014, Oil on canvas,
mounted on a wooden stretcher frame —
90 x 70 cm / 35.4 x 27.6 in.

Inspired by the Dead Sea in Israel, Abandoned Harbor reflects the fate of coastal factories once sustained by salt extraction, now standing deserted. These empty structures, silent yet striking, carry a powerful afterlife of their own. To convey this atmosphere, I developed a layered oil technique, building colors to achieve a mystical transparency where form and color merge. The result captures both the desolation and the quiet allure of a place shaped by time and abandonment.
