Walking on Yellow
2015
Oil on canvas,
mounted on a wooden stretcher frame —
100 × 70 cm / 39.4 × 27.6 in
Walking on Yellow unfolds as a poetic passage through a sunlit desert. At its center, a mirage-like form holds the tension between hope and loss, drawing us toward what we value while carrying us away. Against a muted backdrop, the golden base shines intensely. The work reflects existence’s fragile balance and offers serenity amid opposing forces.
This painting developed from an earlier sketch of the same title, where the first movement, structure, and atmosphere of the idea began to appear.
