Light of Hope
2021, Oil on canvas,
mounted on a wooden stretcher frame —
80 x 100 cm / 31.5 x 39.4 in.

This painting reflects the quiet, constant presence of light that follows us through life. I think of it beginning with the clean sheets of a mother’s bed, carrying us all the way to the end of our mortal journey. That light never leaves, as long as we hold on to existence and nurture hope. For me, hope is essential — it is what allows dreams to step out of darkness and become reality, to take form so the world can recognize itself within them.
